TOKIMEKI Runners (lit. EXCITED Runners) is the title track and first song on Nijigasaki High School Idol Club's first album of the same name, and the eleventh track on their third album, Just Believe!!!. It is also their first group song. It was released on November 21, 2018 with a PV, the opening movie to Love Live! School Idol Festival ALL STARS, and a solo song from each member.
A version featuring Lanzhu Zhong & Mia Taylor is included in Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club TV Anime 2 Blu-ray 5, which was released on October 28, 2022.
It was used as an insert song in Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club Season 2 Episode 8.
The song is written by Aki Hata, composed and arranged by Tsukasa Yatoki (Arte Refact).
SIF 2: Miracle Live Description[]
The theme song to School Idol Festival All Stars, and the first song on the first album. It's both the original song of the Nijigasaki High School Idol Club and a staple at their live shows. The opening movie featured the combined 27 members of u's, Aqours, and Nijigasaki in an unforgettable animated spectacle.
This version appears in SIF All Stars story chapter 17. In the story, Ayumu tells Shioriko that what really matters is what she wants to do. In response, Shioriko declares that she wants to take to the stage, and the girls, now a group of ten, sing this version of TOKIMEKI Runners. The piano intro features a duet between Ayumu and Shioriko in an arrangement only possible with this tune.
An exclusive bonus song from the Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club anime Blu-ray. The addition of Mia and Lanzhu brings the chorus up to 12 members, and the addition of their voices gives the Nijigasaki High School Idol Club's sound even more warmth. Debuted at the Love Live! Series Presents COUNTDOWN Love Live! 2021->2022 ~LIVE with a smile!~ concert.
