AZALEA là một nhóm nhỏ của Aqours. Nhóm gồm ba thành viên, là Matsuura Kanan, Kurosawa Dia, và Kunikida Hanamaru.

Nhóm được hình thành theo các giai đoạn:
Tháng 12 năm 2015, 6 mẫu, dạng nhóm nhỏ được đưa ra để chọn thành viên nào sẽ thuộc nhóm nhỏ nào. Tháng 1 năm 2016, các nhóm nhỏ đã được tiết lộ, và mọi người được hỏi để đặt tên cho các nhóm.
Tháng 3, 2016 các tên được chọn cho các nhóm nhỏ được tiết lộ.
Tháng 4, 2016 tên của nhóm được tiết lộ, tên AZALEA được lấy từ tên của loài hoa ở tỉnh Shizuoka, AZALEA là hoa đỗ quyên, trong ngôn ngữ của loài hoa, Azalea có nghĩa là "kiên nhẫn" hoặc "thùy mị", như hình ảnh của nhóm.

Cách khi nhóm giới thiệu: "Koi no yorokobi sakasemasu, AZALEA desu", tình yêu nở rộ với niềm vui, AZALEA đây ạ".^[1]
