Aim for Victory (優勝をめざして Yūshō wo Mezashite) is the second episode of the Love Live! School idol project Season 2 anime series. It aired on April 13, 2014.
Summary[]
A new rule is introduced to Love Live! in which contestants in the preliminary rounds must perform songs that have not yet debuted. Realizing professional idols will also be competing and this is a method to weed out some of the sudden entrants, μ decides the only thing they can do is to come up with a new song. To do this, they will hold another training camp at one of Maki's villas in the mountains.
After making sure they have everything -and fetching Honoka who was left behind- the girls make their way to the Villa. They take a moment to admire it and get to work, going outside to do some drills as Maki, Umi and Kotori focus on creating new music, lyrics and costumes.
After Nico and Rin stumble down the mountain and right into a lake, putting μ's training on hold the girls return inside. But as Honoka brings them tea, they discover Maki, Umi and Kotori have vanished. Discovering the trio are in a creative slump from overwhelming pressure, the remaining girls form groups of three to help them out. They prepare tents around the mountain and attempt to focus, and after receiving some encouragement, Maki, Umi and Kotori are able to come up with a song and outfits overnight, coming together to share their ideas.
