Ceras Yanagida Lilienfeld is a main character in Link! Like! Love Live!. She is a first-year student at Hasunosora Girls' High School, enrolled with the 105th class. She is a member of the previously independent school idol duo Edel Note, a unit under the Hasunosora Girls' High School Idol Club.
She was initially introduced as a supporting character and a rival. In her debut appearance, she was a third-year junior student at Mizukawa Girls' School before transferring to Hasunosora with Izumi following the school's closure.
Background[]
Ceras is half-German. She dreamed of being an expert violinist, but because of her weak constitution she could barely attend lessons. She was frequently in and out of the hospital when she was younger, where she met and became good friends with Kaho Hinoshita. However, after Kaho's discharge, she became increasingly lonely without anyone to talk to. This is when the Mizukawa School Idol Club came to the hospital to perform. She was stubborn and standoffish at first, not being able to relate to their songs about achieving your dreams because she believed that even if she picked up the violin again, she would never catch up to her peers. But things changed for her when they invited her to be a school idol: a dream anyone can realize regardless of where they are in life.
She met Izumi on a rainy day outside of Izumi's school grounds, located in Tokyo. Ceras confided in her that her school was closing, and that she needed to win Love Live! to save it. She had been to almost 300 schools at that point, trying and failing to recruit people to join the school idol club. Izumi almost instantly agreed to help, offering to transfer schools just to win for her. In return for this, Ceras agreed to give her "everything".
She was unable to perform in Love Live! initially, but thanks to Kaho's petition, Ceras was allowed to perform alongside Izumi Katsuragi.
Personality[]
Ceras is a soft-spoken but determined girl who dreams of being a school idol. Her love for school idols leads her to always thinking about them during class. She is carefree and likes to joke around with her childhood friend, Kaho. The two are still very close, with Ceras calling her "Hana-chan" and Kaho calling her "Secchan". Despite Kaho being her rival in the competition, she remains friendly towards her, inviting her over to her school to tell her all about her goals. She's glad when Kaho succeeds but still wishes to come out on top in the competition, letting the two have a healthy rivalry. She is an extremely hard worker, going above and beyond to ensure that her dream comes true. Due to her time as an official club member, she manages others well and is very capable for her age.
Kaho says that she exaggerates a lot to try and get people's attention. She also has quite a teasing side, enjoying getting people like Ginko riled up.
Hobbies and Skills[]
Ceras loves to watch horror movies, and plays the violin. She is skilled at imitating others, and is great at keeping herself occupied.
Appearance[]
Ceras has light blue eyes and grey-white wavy hair that goes just past her shoulders. She wears salmon pink ribbons behind each ear to keep her hair pulled back.

Trivia[]
- Ceras first appears in Year 104 Chapter 7 as Kaho's friend "Secchan", with no 3D model, giving the impression that she was a supporting character. Then at the very end of the chapter during the post-live segment, she appears fully modeled and named, with her importance and potential rival position very strongly hinted at.
- She used to be quite popular with the nurses at the hospital, as she was "...small and cute, like a princess".[1]
- She is in charge of the Mizukawa School Idol Club, despite not being an official member. She makes Izumi's training regimens, books times with other schools, gives massages after practice, and books appointments to saunas to relieve Izumi's stress.
- Due to an incident when she was seven years old, where a TV station filmed her giving a poor violin performance, she has grown anxious of being recorded, both on TV and on stream.
- As the only first-year in Hasunosora, Ceras is the only Love Live! main character to not be part of a year group.
