Hana Hazuki is a supporting character in Love Live! Superstar!!. She was a student of the defunct Jinguu Music Academy until she graduated prior to the series. She was possibly the leader and co-founder of a unnamed school idol group.
Background[]
In the past, Hana is a student who became a school idol at one point in her school days at Jinguu, with the support of her friend, who later became the future director of the school. In the present, Hana got married and gave birth to her daughter, Ren Hazuki. At one point, she reopened the school and renamed it Yuigaoka Girls' High School prior to her family's financial debt and her eventual passing. Hana's husband disagreed with her actions before moving overseas to work while attempting to persuade their daughter to go with him.
Personality[]
Hana is shown to be a cheerful character during her youthful days. In the present, she is presented to be a warmer person.

Etymology[]
- The name Hana means "flower, blossom" (่ฑ).
- Hana's surname Hazuki means "leaf, plane, lobe, needle, blade, spear, counter for flat things, fragment, piece" (่) (ha) and "moon" (ๆ) (tsuki/zuki).
- Hadzuki/Hazuki (่ๆ) is the traditional name for August, meaning "month of leaves", with the older form of it being ่่ฝใกๆ (haochidzuki/haochizuki, ใฏใใกใฅใ) which means "month of falling leaves".

- One of the three characters who had a relation with idol-based activities (albeit as a school idol) in the past, along with Hanayo Koizumi's mother (who was previously an idol) and Kaoruko Mifune (founder of the School Idol Festival in the School Idol Festival ALL STARS game, and a former member of a school idol group in the anime).
- The first on-screen (albeit in photos) former school idol to be married off-screen in her future life.
- Judging by the timeframe on her photos, Hana is chronogically the first on-screen school idol that is from the old times.
