- The theme of the song is based on Mia's love for singing that she had suppressed after her failure to perform in her childhood. Unable to meet the expectations the public had for the members of her family, she became a songwriter to live up to the reputation of the Taylors instead. Her desire to sing resurfaces when Rina Tennoji helps Mia realize that her own feelings about music are part of every song she writes, and that this is why those songs can only performed by Mia herself.
