Kaoruko Mifune is a supporting character in Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club. She later joins Nijigasaki High School as a student teacher during the second term of the school year. She is the older sister of Shioriko Mifune.
She debuted in Chapter 17 of Love Live! School Idol Festival ALL STARS and in the fourth episode in the anime's second season.

Etymology[]
- The name Kaoruko means "fragrance, fragrant" (薫) (kaoru) and "child" (子) (ko).
- Kaoruko's surname Mifune means "three" (三) (mi) and "boat, ship, vessel" (船) (fune).

- Kaoruko's background varies on the two timelines:
- In ALL STARS, she was a former school idol and the previous head of the School Idol Festival Committee.
- In the seventh episode of the anime's second season, it was revealed that she was also a former school idol from Shion Girls' Academy, though she is not shown to be part of the committee.
- Kaoruko's voice actress, Yoko Hikasa, would later voice Lailaps in Yohane the Parhelion.
