Kozue Otomune is a main character in Link! Like! Love Live!. She was a student at Hasunosora Girls' High School, enrolled with the 102nd class. She was a member of Cerise Bouquet, a unit under the Hasunosora Girls' High School Idol Club while also served as the club's president. Her image color is mermaid green.[1]
Background[]
Kozue was born into a musical family and has taken various music lessons from a young age. She developed a love for school idols after a performance she saw as a child, making it her dream to become one. Her family was initially against this, seeing it as less of a "true art" than the more traditional forms of music they all practice. But she was eventually able to convince them to accept her choice.
Her goal is to win Love Live!, and because of her perfectionism, an incident happened during her first year that caused Megumi Fujishima's hiatus and soured her friendship with Tsuzuri Yugiri.
Kozue's family is very rich and her family is noted as owning multiple beach villas.
Personality[]
A handsome honor student who is good at both academics and sports, Kozue is graceful and elegant. Even though she is respected and admired by everyone at Hasunosora, she is never boastful nor complacent. She spares no effort in anything she does. She is bad with technology, but she insists that she's on the way to making it her strong point.
Kozue tends to be a perfectionist, but only when it comes to herself: she has extremely high standards for herself and tends to blame herself when things go wrong. However, she is reasonable enough to listen to others when necessary. Kozue told Kaho Hinoshita that she used to be much worse about this, and that she used to set such impossibly high standards for herself when it came to music that she had little time for anything else.
Kozue is very formal and proper in behavior. She speaks and addresses everyone around her formally, and only drops honorifics for Tsuzuri Yugiri, Megumi Fujishima, and (later), Kaho Hinoshita. Tsuzuri notes that Kozue and Megumi used to have frequent arguments and shouting matches, indicating that Kozue has a temper beneath her polished exterior.
Her hobbies are stargazing, music appreciation, and making teacakes. Her special skills are classical ballet and strength training. She can play the piano, the violin, the trumpet, the flute, the saxophone, and the guitar. She also composes her own songs, and prefers to do so either on the piano or with her guitar. However, she is not a good artist. Her favorite foods are black tea and boiled tofu, and she enjoys art class, world history class, and cats. Her favorite phrase is "Stand like a peony, sit like a peony, walk like a lily", and it is used to describe the demeanor of a beautiful woman. The slender stems of the peony represent their slim body when standing, the way the peony blooms on sideways branches gives them the appearance of someone sitting on them, and lilies sway elegantly in the wind like a woman walking.

Kozue is tall and slender, noted as having a beautiful appearance. Her purple hair is tied into a loose ponytail on the left, creating a bun out of some of the compiled hair. It is held together with a red flower clip: it has green leaves above and a lighter green tassel hanging off it. She has bright green eyes and wears a green tie on her uniform.

- Kozue is somewhat infamous for creating difficult training schedules, not unlike Umi Sonoda and Kanan Matsuura.
- Kozue fills the role as the leader of her subunit Cerise Bouquet.
- Kozue is really into fitness and is much stronger than she looks, as she was capable of easily picking up Kaho.
- Kozue's seiyuu, Nina Hanamiya, auditioned three times for a role in Love Live! Her third audition was for Kozue.
- Her choreography tends to have a lot of ballet-inspired movements in them.[2]
