Never forget what you saw that morning
When you first set out on your journey
When excitement washes away your uneasiness
The starking contrast of the streets
Crossing bridge after bridge, heading towards the future
When a brush of sadness
Reflects upon the deep blue sky,
I whisper to myself:
Even if I cry, the seeds of my dreams will eventually bloom
So there's nothing to be afraid of, I'll just have to keep going, right here and now
Never forget what you saw at night
That made you feel happy
City lights bloom like flowers,
And trees sing in the wind
Let's climb the steepest hill!
But one day the clouds covered the
Gentle glow of the stars
Even though I'm feeling lonely
When I cry, a rainbow of my dreams will eventually form
So there's nothing to be afraid of, I'll just keep hoping, right here and now
Even though we're far apart, we're still looking up at the same sky
Because I cry, the seeds of my dreams will eventually bloom
So there's nothing to be afraid of, I'll make a promise right here and now
I'll definitely make my dreams come true

Trivia[]
- "Message" was not performed at the Okayama (2nd) leg and all legs from Aichi (7th) onwards of 1st Live.
- It is the only Liella no Uta song to have had only a single performance of the duet version performed at Liella! First LoveLive! Tour ~Starlines~.
- Primary is being excluded as the song was originally sung by the entire group and only split into duets for the 1st Live setlist. Otherwise, it would share this distinction of having one-time-only duet performances (the Ren/Chisato duet at Fukuoka Day 1 and Ren/Kanon duet at Aichi Day 1).
- Similar to Memories, the only solo version performance of this song was by Naomi Payton (voice of Sumire Heanna), with Memories' solo being limited to Nako Misaki (voice of Chisato Arashi) in comparison. To date, there has been no Kanon solo performance of "Message".
- Although this is purely speculation, this is likely due to the strain it would have put on Sayuri Date (voice of Kanon Shibuya), who already had quite a lot to deal with in the 1st Live setlist (with solos/duos such as GOING UP, Tiny Stars, and Watashi no Symphony).
- While all 22 performances of 1st Live were streamed, only the Sumire solo version of "Message" was preserved in the blu-ray of Liella! First LoveLive! Tour ~Starlines~ due to the discs being limited to Gunma Day 1, Miyagi Day 2, and the Tokyo extra performance Day 2 (with neither the Miyagi nor Tokyo extra performances having "Message" in their setlists). As seen in the list above, the leg with the duet version (Fukuoka) was not included in the blu-rays.
