Yuigaoka Girls' High School (็ตใถไธๅฅณๅญ้ซ็ญๅญฆๆ ก, Yuigaoka Joshi Koutou Gakkou) is an all-girls high school located in Japan. The previous school that once stood in its place was abandoned a few years prior due to a lack of enrollment, but was re-established recently by Hana Hazuki.
Description[]
Taking the place of a school that was once cherished by generations of students, Yuigaoka is a fresh new start of a legacy built on the same ground many years ago. Established in Tokyo, and situated at the intersection between three of its most vibrant and upscale neighborhoods - Omotesando, Harajuku, and Aoyama - the former school had closed its doors due to low enrollment, where it soon faced the prospect of demolition. However, the land was quickly purchased by a local personality, and eventually Yuigaoka would rise in its place.
Being a newly established school and lacking any kind of name recognition, development plans immediately began on growing the student population of Yuigaoka, which consisted of roughly 100 newly admitted first-years. It is hoped that by fostering an environment of hard work and interconnectedness, the school would eventually blossom with students from all grades, and all walks of life.[1]
Yuigaoka currently provides a growing number of activities, such as a track team and its ever-popular wind ensemble. Depending on the class, tablet stations are provided to assist students in subjects like English, and interactive whiteboards are on the verge of being utilized for teaching. And in the spirit of connectedness, the school even offers free Wi-Fi to students and visitors.
Around the vicinity of the school are a handful of shrines, namely the notable Hatonomori Hachiman Shrine located near National Stadium, and the Onden Shrine, which is situated fairly close to Yuigaoka. Facing towards Harajuku station also lies the famous Yoyogi Park.
Uniform[]
The school has two sets of uniforms depending on which course the student is inโ general(ๆฎ้็ง, futsuuka) or music(้ณๆฅฝ็ง, ongakuka). The uniform for the general course consists of a cropped blue jacket, a gray dress and a white collared shirt with a red ribbon. In summer, the blazer is removed and the shirt is short-sleeved. The uniform for the music course consists of a white blazer, dark blue sweater, grey skirt, and a white collared shirt with a red ribbon. In summer, the blazer is replaced by a white, short-sleeved sailor-style shirt with grey lapels.
Mascot[]
Yuigao (ใใใใใผ, Yuigaล) is the official mascot of Yuigaoka. A puffy, marshmallow-shaped dinosaur with colorful spikes and fanged teeth, Yuigao serves as the "guardian spirit" of the school. Its cutesy appearance has the unique ability to elicit comfort and healing.

Trivia[]
- Suggestions of the official school name were submitted online by Dengeki G's readers in mid-March during a two-week period. Voting on the selected names then commenced in mid-April for two weeks, until Yuigaoka was finally announced on May 18, 2020.
- The architecture resembles colonial buildings developed during the Meiji period, making Yuigaoka over a century old.
- This is the second Tokyo based school to be built on the border of three different districts, the Omotesando, Harajuku and Aoyama districts, the first one being Otonokizaka High School which is on the borders of the Akihabara, Jinbouchou and Kanda districts.
- However, the only major difference between the two schools is that Otonokizaka is solely in the Chiyoda ward while Yuigaoka is on the border of the Minato and Shibuya wards.
- This is the fourth Tokyo based school to be shown in the franchise, the first being Otonokizaka, the second being UTX High School and the third being Nijigasaki High School.
- In Dengeki G's Love Live! Days magazine, first-year students Kokono, Yae, and Nanami, are presented as the school's official trio of ambassadors, who provide various facts and tidbits about Yuigaoka in the column, Naze Nani Yuigaoka (All About Yuigaoka).
- Yuigaoka is the first school in the franchise to be reopened, at least until the seventh episode reveals that the building was the third since Otonokizaka and Uranohoshi to be potentially closed.
- While both Otonokizaka and Uranohoshi closing is due to the low birth rates and students, the reason for Yuigaoka's potential closure is due to the Hazuki household's financial debt.
