Changes: Yukiho Kosaka

Yukiho Kosaka is the younger sister of Honoka Kosaka, and a supporting character in Love Live!. As seen in Season 2 Episode 13, she becomes a first year student of Otonokizaka High School. At the end of the movie she is seen as a third year student and the president or co-president of the Idol Research Club along with Alisa Ayase after succeeding Hanayo Koizumi and Maki Nishikino.

Background

Yukiho's family owns a Japanese sweets shop. She lives at the back of the shop with her mother, father, and older sister. She has a good friendship with Alisa Ayase, Eli's younger sister.

Personality

Yukiho is often shown doing embarrassing things when she's by herself. Despite constantly scolding her older sister, Yukiho really does care about her. An example would be in Season 1 Episode 11, when Yukiho dropped her umbrella and ran over to Honoka who fainted right after their performance.

01	"Come True! Our Dreams!" (叶え!私たちの夢――, "Kanae! Watashitachi no Yume")
In Episode 1, it is shown that Yukiho doesn't plan on applying to Otonokizaka but to UTX, a very popular high school that is getting tons of students because of its idol group A-RISE. Yukiho says that there's no point in going to Otonokizaka since it's closing.
02	"Let's Start Becoming Idols!" (アイドルを始めよう!, "Aidoru wo Hajimeyou!" )
In Episode 2, Yukiho calls out to Honoka, who was about to head off to school, asking her if the CD she found in their mail was hers as it wasn't addressed to anyone but has "µ's" written on it.
04	"MakiRinPana" (まきりんぱな, "MakiRinPana" )
In Episode 4, Hanayo found Honoka's family shop as she was walking home and Honoka told her to wait upstairs as she needed to look after the shop. Not knowing which room was Honoka's, Hanayo accidentally opened the door to Yukiho's room, seeing the girl doing an embarrassing thing by herself.
06	"Who'll Be the Center?" (センターは誰だ?, "Sentā wa Dare da?" )
In Episode 6, Honoka, Rin and Nozomi went to the Kousaka residence after school to conduct interviews with the family members. Honoka decided to introduce Yukiho and opens the door to her room, only to end up seeing Yukiho struggle to put on a belt.
08	"What I Want To Do Is..." (やりたいことは..., "Yaritai Koto wa..." )
In Episode 8, Yukiho fell asleep during Eli's speech about Otonokizaka's history and soon wakes up with a shout, immediately apologizing right after. When Eli asks her if it was boring, she quickly denied it until Alisa stated her own honest opinion. When µ's performs Bokura no LIVE Kimi to no LIFE, Yukiho and Alisa are shown to be part of the audience.
09	"Wonder Zone" (ワンダーゾーン, "Wandā Zōn" )
In Episode 9, when Honoka and Umi applied for the same job as Kotori in the same cafe, Yukiho went as a customer and seemed to tease Honoka during her visit.
11	"The Greatest Live Performance" (最高のライブ, "Saikō no Raibu" )
In episode 11, Yukiho went to watch μ's performance at the School Festival along with Ayase Alisa. Earlier in the episode, however, Yukiho was surprised to see Honoka exercising at night. After Honoka heads out, it was shown that Yukiho had an Otonokizaka High School enrollment guidebook. Midway through the episode, Yukiho was clearly concerned that Honoka was overworking herself by going out to jog in the rain. Honoka responded that she was only going to run for a little bit. It wasn't until after μ's' performance that Honoka suffered the consequences of not getting enough rest, and fainted. Worried, Yukiho drops her umbrella and runs over to her older sister, crying her name out.
13	"μ's Music Start!" (μ'sミュージックスタート!, "Myūzu Myūjikku Sutāto!")
In Episode 13, once μ's reunites, they perform "START:DASH!!" in the school auditorium, this time filled with people. In the audience, both Alisa and Yukiho are watching in awe.

01	"Love Live! Once Again" (もう一度ラブライブ!, "Mōichido Rabu Raibu!")
In Episode 1, Yukiho talked to Honoka about Love Live! and was surprised when she found out that Honoka decided not to join. Yukiho told Honoka that Love Live! will take place on March, when the new school year begins.
03	"The Door to Our Dreams" (ユメのトビラ, "Yume no Tobira")
In Episode 3, Alisa and Yukiho are shown watching the live with a laptop at the Kosaka residence. Alisa was worried about μ's but Yukiho assured her that they will be fine.
06	"Happy Halloween" (ハッピーハロウィーン, "Happī Harouīn")
In Episode 6, Yukiho comes across a shocking letter while rummaging through Honoka's room.
07	"We Have to Do Something!" (なんとかしなきゃ!, "Nantoka Shinakya!")
In Episode 7, Yukiho, along with their mother, found out about Honoka's physical examination and scolded her for it.
09	"Melody of the Heart" (心のメロディ, "Kokoro no Merodi")
In Episode 9, Yukiho told Honoka to give it her best for the final preliminaries before going back inside the house because of the cold. Yukiho, together with Alisa, watched µ's perform the song "Snow halation".
10	"µ's" (µ's, "Myūzu")
In Episode 10, Honoka asked Yukiho what she thinks of µ's. Yukiho told her that µ's makes her want to root for them for some reason and it's not because Honoka's her sister or that it's because it's a local group.
11	"That Which We Decided" (私たちが決めたこと, "Watashi-tachi ga Kimeta Koto")
In Episode 11, Yukiho and Alisa pass their exams to enter Otonokizaka. Alisa openly expresses her desire to join µ's and told Eli she passed. When Yukiho arrived home, Honoka told her that she should've mailed her. Yukiho told Honoka and their mother that she passed. Honoka then asked why she doesn't appear to be happy and said that she should be rejoicing about it. Yukiho did not answer her, instead, she just asked Honoka what would happen to µ's once the third years graduate, making Honoka think about it. Yukiho and Alisa, who were watching µ's performance, greeted Honoka when she arrived home. Alisa showed Honoka the thing she was practicing and asked if she can join µ's just fine. Yukiho then said not to bother Honoka too much because she has to concentrate on the upcoming competition. After Honoka left them, Yukiho asked Alisa what she loves the most about µ's. The next day, Honoka was still troubled and hasn't made her decision yet. Yukiho and Alisa said that they wanted to talk to her about something. Alisa said that she decided not to join µ's and instead, she'll make a new school idol unit with Yukiho because the µ's that she loved does not include her in it. After that, Honoka made up her mind and wished the two good luck.
12	"Last Live" (ラストライブ, "Rasuto Raibu")
In Episode 12, Yukiho and Alisa were first shown listening to some music together. Later on, they were shown taking a picture together in front of the entrance of the venue for Love Live! and then were shown shouting for an encore from µ's.
13	"Come True! Everyone's Dream" (叶え！みんなの夢――, "Kanae! Minna no Yume")
In Episode 13, Honoka finally finished her farewell speech for the graduation ceremony. She excitedly went on her way to school, but not without telling Yukiho and Alisa that they both looked great in their new uniforms.

Trivia

While Yukiho is initially not interested in being an idol in the anime, this is her main motivation for wanting to go to UTX in the manga.
In addition to this, she has a completely different appearance in the manga, with her hair being pointy and shoulder-length.
